Entered from the pedestrian village lane, the ground floor consists of entrance hallway, plus two store rooms, (laundry and boiler room). On the first floor is a guest suite comprising bedroom / living room with fireplace, bathroom and kitchenette. On the next level is a spacious bedroom, large built in closet, bathroom, and cosy sitting area with views over the village and hills. The top floor is an open plan kitchen / living space with fireplace, with doors opening onto the terrace with superb views over to Volterra. The house offers excellent rental potential and is complete with services including central heating and wi fi. The recent renovation included new bathrooms, and new furnishings - the funiture is all new, very good quality - with a style combining elegance and Tuscan charm. The house is sold fully furnished. The ancient village was founded by the Lombards in the seventh century, and retains much of its pretty medieval appeal. Today the hill-top village has approximately 250 inhabitants living in the surroundings of the old castle. In the little village piazza there's a grocery shop and a cafe/bar, and there's also an astronomy observatory on the outskirts of the village which is open to the public on certain important evenings of the year. Lajatico, home of the famous Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, is just 7km away, with a greater selection of shops and restaurants. Close by is Terricciola, one of the main wine areas of the Pisa province. A bigger supermarket cab be found just before you reach the lovely village of Peccioli, awarded the Orange Flag by the Italian Touring Club as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
